Welcome To University of Health and Allied Sciences
The University of Health and Allied Sciences was established by an Act of Parliament (Act 828 of December 2011) as a public university in Ghana. The main campus, including the central administration, is in Ho. A second campus is to be located in Hohoe.

UHAS Hosts Regional Disaster Resilience Leadership Workshop

The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) together with its partners, Tulane University and Makere University held workshops on Strengthening Leadership in Disaster Resilience Project (SLDRP)over a two-week period from 19th February to 1st March 2013 in Ho and Accra. Participants came from Ghana, Burkina Faso, Djibouti, Nigeria, Haiti and Uganda.
The opening ceremony was performed by the Vice-Chancellor of UHAS, Prof Fred Binka. He underscored the need for individuals and institutions to be prepared for disasters and to engage governments to appreciate the need to invest in disaster preparedness rather than just responding to disasters.
The First of VC's Occasional Lectures held in UHAS.

The first of VC's occasional lectures on health promotion was held on the 7th of March 2013.The topic was 'the future of well-being'. Prof. Rachael Dixey and Doctor Sally Heyes of Leeds Metropolitan University who delivered the lectures later donated books to UHAS. The University librarian Mr. Theophilus Yeboah received the books on behalf of UHAS. Staff from the University and those from the Volta Regional Hospital, Ho as well as students attended the lectures.
