The Strengthening Leadership in Disaster Resilience Program (SLDRP), a program at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ho, Volta Region, will run a Certificate Course in Disaster Resilience Leadership. This is divided into two modules. The first module will be offered from 22nd-28th September 2013 and the second module from 9th-15th February 2014. Acceptance into the first module confirms automatic participation in the second module of training.
Applicants should have
- A Bachelors degree
- Worked in an NGO in the field of disaster risk management and disaster risk reduction
- Worked in a job as Chief Director/Director or Senior officer in a critical national disaster institution
- Worked in a the media/private sector position that is closely linked to disaster response or disaster risk reduction
- Must have more than four years of work ahead of him before retirement
How to Apply
Write an essay on the topic: Resilient Leadership is Critical to Building Effective Disaster and Emergency Intervention
The essay should not be more than 1500 words, double space, Times New Roman, font size 14, structured into Abstract, Introduction, Methods and Results, Discussion, Conclusion and lastly Recommendation. The essay should be properly referenced.

The course tuition, full board accommodation and reasonable transportation costs to and from the hotel venue would be covered by the University of Health and Allied Sciences and its foremost partner Tulane University.
