Public Affairs fundamentally prides on information dissemination and the urge to find common grounds with all publics – where institutional and social responsibility is the bedrock.
At the Public Affairs Office in the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), we among other things plan, organize and manage programmes and activities that enhance the flow of communication between the University and its publics.
As the only state University in Ghana wholly dedicated to health issues, UHAS allures very high attention both nationally and internationally and in this regard, we at the Public Affairs office act as a conduit in providing timely and accurate information.
» UHAS Public Affairs believe that all communication emanating from UHAS imparts on the reputation of the University and constitutes the tools required in carving an image for the University.
» UHAS Public Affairs aims at helping staff, faculty, offices, units, departments, schools and directorates in preparing and disseminating communication that meets the high standard of UHAS and markets the good work of UHAS students, faculty, staff and alumni in oral, print and web presence.
In effect, UHAS Public Affairs works with all facets of the University community as a ‘catalyst’ in prosecuting the University’s vision, mission, aims, strategic goals and philosophy.
We form an integral part of the Central Administration UHAS and we are the branch of the operations of UHAS that is responsible for;

- Protocols (including Passages)

- Public Relations

- Media Relations
- Organization of Official Functions
- Information/Communication (both Internal and External) Granting permission for filming, photography and hoisting of banners
- Management of the University Website and other social media platforms
- Protocol Functions
- Granting permission for posting to be done on the University website
