Mr Alfred Kumah is the Data Center officer with the ICT Directorate in the University of Health and Allied Sciences(UHAS) in Ho. Prior to this, he was a lecturer at Ghana Telecom University, Accra – Ghana.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
He had his MSc. in Information Security with Distinction in 2011 at Royal Holloway University of London, United Kingdom. He graduated from University of Cape coast in 2009 with a first class honour in BSc. Information technology
WORK EXPERIENCE
Mr. Alfred Kumah started work at data Bank as Senior ICT Assistant in 2005. He proceeded to university of Cape coast in Feb 2012 as a course tutor in the department of computer science responsible for organizing tutorials and conducting quizzes for students. He was also a lecturer in the department of computer science at Ransford University College responsible for designing syllabuses for several modules and running tutorials for student.
Mr. Kumah is currently appointed as the Data Center Officer at the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho. He was part of the forward looking team who played an active role in the set up and maintenance of the current Academic system.
He is an experienced IT Security professional, with a proven track record in key functions; with particular emphasis on, technical knowledge in it Security Policy, Planning and Administration, Compliance and operational security risk management.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Mr. Kumah has strong interest in Information and Internet Security, Smart cards and Mobile platform security, Cryptography and cryptographic protocols and Smart Grid (SCADA).
