PROFILE OF MR. PROSPER ALORWU
Mr. Prosper Alorwu is a Senior Driver in the Transport Unit of the Directorate of Works and Physical Development of the University. Prior to joining the University in August 2013, he trained as a refrigerator and air-condition mechanic for three years and passed out successfully in 2000.
Between 2001 and 2011, Prosper worked as a Salesman/Driver for one Pastor Innocent Atsamegah during the day and as a Taxi Driver at night. He gave up the salesmanship and become a full time taxi driver in 2012. In April 15, 2013 he was recruited into the Ghana Education Service where he worked as a drive for five months and later moved to UHAS. He Studied Agricultural Science at Tanyigbe Senior Secondary School and completed in 1996.
Mr. Alorwu was elected Vice Chairman of the UHAS Local Branch of the Teachers and Educational Workers’ Union of the Trades Union Congress (TEWU) in July 2019, before his election, he was Welfare Chairman between 2015 to 2019. He represents the Union on Council.
