Michael Frimpong Baidoo is an Assistant Research Fellow at the Institute of Traditional and Alternative Medicine (ITAM), UHAS, Ho.
Education
He is currently pursuing a PhD in Pharmacognosy at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Pharmacognosy and Bachelor of Science in Herbal Medicine from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
Before joining University of Health and Allied Sciences, Mr. Baidoo worked with the Departments of Pharmacognosy and Herbal Medicine, KNUST for 4 years as a Teaching Assistant, Graduate Assistant and Part-time Assistant Lecturer.
Mr. Baidoo has a number of publications to his credit.
Science /Research output
His research interest areas are standardization and quality assessment, bioactivity and phytochemistry of natural products, especially medicinal plants commonly used in Ghanaian Traditional Medicine for the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases.
