Mr. Hubert Mawuli Yevu-Agbi is an Assistant Registrar in the Directorate of Public Affairs of the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho. He is the Head of Publications and Documentations Unit of the Directorate. He is a Public Relations Specialist and an accomplished award-winning journalist with 16 years’ experience in the communication and media industry.
Education
Mr. Yevu-Agbi holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Public Relations from the Ghana Institute of Journalism. He also had Bachelor of Sciences (BSc.) in Marketing, a Higher National Diploma in Marketing and Certificates in Journalism.
Work Experience
Prior to joining the University of Health and Allied Sciences in 2020, Mr. Yevu-Agbi worked as Junior Assistant Registrar at the Public Affairs Unit of Ho Technical University (HTU) from 2018 to 2020. He was the Station Manager of Volta Premier FM, Ho Technical University from 2015 to 2018. He also held various positions at the radio station including Marketing Manager, Journalist and Presenter of various shows including the station’s Morning Show (Premier Morning Show) and News Analysis Programme (Perspectives). He was the Volta Regional Correspondent for Joy FM and JoyNews TV of the Multimedia Group Ltd from 2008 to 2020. Mr. Yevu-Agbi participated in the Edward Murrow Programme for Journalists and editors as part of the International Visitors Leadership Programme (IVLP) in the United States of America in 2018. He was adjudged the Health Reporter of the Year 2017 during the Volta GJA Awards.
Research Interest
He has written articles and features on varied subjects. His research interest areas include communication, public relations practice, crisis communication and management, and health journalism.
