A twenty-two (22) member delegation from the Elon University, United State of America recently paid a visit to the University of Health and Allied Sciences to familiarize themselves with the campus and activities of the University.
The delegation that was made up of twenty (20) students and two (2) faculties were led by Brian Digre, Professor of History and International Studies. They were received by Mr. Anthony Asempah, Head of Public Affairs Unit and other University officials. Mr. Asempah in his welcome remarks, expressed the University’s deep appreciation to Elon University for the book donations received from them last two years and said he looked forward to the strengthening of this relationship. He also briefed them on the establishment, objectives, mission and vision of UHAS.
In his response, the leader of the delegation, Professor Brian Digre among other things hinted that Elon University will explore collaborative opportunities that exist in UHAS in the areas of students and faculty exchanges. He said both Universities can collaborate in the fields of Public Health, Nursing and other allied sciences.
Hon. Capt. (Rtd) George Nfojoh was among the delegation; the former Member of Parliament for Ho Central, for the past eighteen (18) years has been the convener who oversees the Elon University’s trip to the Sokode communities and other parts of Volta region. It will be recalled that the former Member of Parliament last two years donated some books to UHAS on behalf of the Elon University.
