Former UHAS VC Prof. Gyapong to assume leadership of ARUA

The Board of the African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) on November 14, 2023, approved the appointment of former UHAS Vice Chancellor, Professor John Owusu Gyapong, as the new Secretary-General. Prof. Gyapong, who was Vice Chancellor of the University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho, Ghana, from 2016 to 2022, will take over from Professor Ernest Aryeetey when Prof. Aryeetey retires at the end of July 2024.
