The Federation of Universities Senior Staff Association of Ghana (FUSSAG) of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) as part of its end of year activities awarded eleven (11) members who excelled in the execution of their duties during the year under review. The FUSSAG End-of-Year Awards, which is a novelty since the establishment of UHAS, is going to be part of the Association’s annual activities.
The Awards Scheme was steered by a five (5) member committee Chaired by Ms. Yaa Opuni Amankwa, an Assistant Registrar at the Human Resource Directorate. In her statement, she said the objective of the Awards event was to recognize all the incredible official work of FUSSAG members as well as their participation in the Federation’s activities.
Eleven (11) senior staff were awarded under different categories. Mr. Ernest Hodowu won the Best Male Staff and Ms. Delali Adonu was the Best Female Staff. Mr. Anthony Delali Owusu-Adjah was recognized as the Male Finance/Audit/Procurement Staff; Ms Bridget Elorm Lotsu, Female Finance/Audit/Procurement Staff, Mr. Felix Worlanyo Torku received the award for the Male Administrative Staff; Mrs. Charity Happy Atteh-Osei got the Female Administrative Staff. Under the other categories, Ms. Comfort Agyare-Kwabi was adjudged the Laboratory/Research Staff of the year while Mr. Richard Obeng Tawiah and Ms. Margaret Sena Boadu won the Works and Physical Development Staff and the Library Staff of the year respectively. Amidst applauds and cheers, Mr. Frank Anku Tornam was announced the ICT Staff of the year.
For their active participation and dedication towards the course of the Federation, Mr. Hagan Kwesi Aseredum and Mr. Kwabena Sakyi were both given special awards.
The End-of-Year gathering also afforded time for Mr. David Adzovie, Director of Human Resources Directorate to address pertinent issues on promotion and other Human Resource matters. Members later crowned the meeting with a party
