In seeking accreditation from GUSA and subsequently participating in GUSA activities by University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), a delegation from Ghana Universities Sports Association (GUSA) came to inspect the sporting facilities available to the UHAS community.
The delegation was warmly received by the University Management and the SRC.
The inspection officers from GUSA were Janet Ampong (General Secretary, GUSA), Mr. Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko (Technical Committee Chairman, GUSA), Mr. Ali Ibrahim Abdulai (Treasurer, GUSA) and Mr. Anane Sampson (Student leader GUSA). As part of the visit, the team paid a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor, Professor John Owusu Gyapong.
The UHAS-GUSA team were Dr. Daniel Abaye (Dean of Students), Ms Vivian Dougblor (Sports Technical Director, Sports Council and Technical Advisor to UHAS-GUSA), Mr. Pious Afrane (SRC President), Mr. Attipoe Bengalazy (GUSA CHAIR-SRC) and Mr. Kwabena Okeyere Darko (Head of Athletics TEAM SRC).
The Ho Sports Stadium was made available to UHAS while work is ongoing on the completion of the UHAS sport complex.
The facilities inspected greatly impressed the GUSA Team and accreditation is underway.
