UHAS Council Chairman, Justice Victor J.M. Dotse, along with the Vice Chancellor, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, the Registrar, and the Director of Works and Physical Development, toured the UHAS expansion project site, known as China-aided Project Phase 2, to inspect the project, which is 63 percent executed. It encompasses the School of Nursing and Midwifery and the university’s central administration being constructed at a cost of $60 million, and is expected to be completed and handed over in March 2024.
After the tour, the Council Chairman and Management attended the official handing-over of a completed summer hut constructed by SIC Insurance PLC on UHAS Main Campus. The company also brought along a donation of 10 HP laptops to the university. The Head of Corporate Affairs of SIC, Nana Yaw Mantey, said his company was glad to have had this chance of “partnering with the university in the first of many opportunities to come.”
The VC expressed the university’s gratitude for the donations and encouraged SIC to continue showing its goodwill towards UHAS.
