UHAS Vice Chancellor Prof. Lydia Aziato and Ms. Yaa Amankwaa Opuni, Registrar, today visited the UHAS Basic School to formally introduce themselves to management and staff, and to familiarize themselves with the operations of the Basic School. The two key officers also used this opportunity to listen first-hand to the concerns of staff.

The Vice Chancellor assured them that her administration is willing and ready to address those concerns progressively. The Registrar joined the VC in encouraging them to continue doing good work.

The UHAS Basic School began operating in January 2021, with its first batch of 20 teachers and 84 pupils. In January 2022, the school was opened to the general public, and currently has a student population of 252 learners from Kindergarten 1 to Basic 8. Basic 9 will be added next January. The current staff strength is 37.
