The 2019/20 UHAS Students' Representative Council (SRC) Executives launched their official cloth at a brief ceremony held on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Binka Hall of School of Public Health (SPH), Hohoe. The cloth, which was beautifully designed by the Editorial Committee and approved by UHAS Parliament House, was an initiative of the Projects and Programs Committee in a quest to rebrand the Council.

The cloth was jointly unveiled by the Hohoe Provincial Executives alongside the Vice President, H.E. Emmanuel Brobbey; Federal Treasurer, Mr. George Ayine; and Chief Justice, His Lordship Evans Asenso.

The SRC Vice President highlighted some of the achievements of the SRC after ninety working days in office in areas such as intellectual leadership seminars, welfare, academics, security, health, sanitation, SRC rebranding, sports, vocational training, intra-semester practicum, repetition policy, accommodation and transport system.

“The SRC has attracted many students in its vision of equitable distribution of resources to benefit both provinces. It has also served as a beacon through commitment, perseverance and resilience in the pursuit of quality and excellence,” Mr. Brobbey said.

He entreated the student body to exhibit a high standard of the University of Health and Allied Sciences, and to be brand ambassadors and promoters of the SRC. He commended the Federal SRC President, H.E. Abraham Norman Nortey, who had worked tremendously to make the production of the cloth a reality.
