Certificate Entry:
Candidates who pass the end-of-Access Course examination are eligible to apply for admission into Level 200
However, successful candidates who seek to be admitted into a programme apart from that in which they are certified may be admitted into Level 100.
Diploma Entry:
Applicants MUST hold the following qualifications from institutions accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), Ghana.
Diploma in General Nursing, Midwifery or Public Health Nursing/Registered Community Health Nursing.
Post NAC/NAP Midwifery applicants will progress in the field of Midwifery if they have a Diploma and are exempted from writing the Licensing Examination.
Level of Entry
The point of entry will be Level 300.
Applicants who seek to be admitted into a programme apart from that in which they are certified may be admitted into Level 200 and must write the Licensing Examination by the NMC.
Applicants whose CGPA is between 1.50 and 1.99 will be considered for admission into Level 200.
Short-listed applicants may be required to attend a selection interview.

Diploma Holders
Applicants with any Professional Diploma in Nutrition/Dietetic Technology from accredited institutions with CGPA of not less than 2.0 and who is licensed by the Allied Health Professions Council shall be admitted to Level 300.
Degree Holders
Applicants with first degrees in Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Food Science, or related fields from accredited institutions with CGPA of not less than 2.0 shall be admitted to Level 300.
BTECH/HND/Diploma in Hospitality Management and related fields
Applicants with BTECH/HND/Diploma in Hospitality Management from accredited institutions with CGPA of not less than 2.0 shall be admitted to Level 200.
- Doctor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (6 years):
Applicants who hold Bachelors degree of Medical Laboratory Science may be admitted into the Programme at Level 500.
Applicants who hold a related Science-Based Bachelor’s degree from a GTEC Accredited Institution may be admitted to level 300 of the programme.
Applicants who hold Diploma/HND in Medical Laboratory Science awarded by a GTEC Accredited institutions may be admitted to Level 300 of the programme.
Applicants who hold HND (Science Laboratory Technology) awarded by a GTEC/NABTEX Accredited institutions will be admitted to Level 200 of the programme.
For all the above qualifications, an CGPA of 2.0 or above would be an advantage.
- Bachelor of Orthotics and Prosthetics
Applicants must holdDiploma in Orthotics and Prosthetics or related discipline awarded by an accredited institution.
Applicants must have not less than three years of certified practice in Orthotics and Prosthetics and related discipline.
Successful candidates will be admitted onto the programme at Level 300.
Candidates with other relevant diploma shall be admitted into the programme at Level 200.
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or Diploma certificate from accredited institutions.
Applicants must hold diploma in any of the following disciplines: Physiotherapy Assistantship, Orthotic and Prosthetics or Occupational therapy Assistantship.
Applicants must have practiced in their chosen fields for at least three (3) years.
Applicants may be required to pass an entrance examination/interview.

International Undergraduate Program ▼
The University of Health and Allied Sciences is a Specialized University. It is important therefore to ensure that the prerequisite areas of study for international applicants are the same as those required of local applicants.
I. A-Level Applicants: Candidates must have credit passes in five (5) subjects, including English and Mathematics at the G.C.E Ordinary Level, in addition to Chemistry, Physics and Biology at the G.C.E. Advance Level.
II. American Qualification: Candidate must have passed American Advance Placement (AP) Course Examination
III. Other Educational Credentials: IGCSE/IB – Applicants must possess at least Grades A*/A-C in English, Mathematics and Biology at the Standard (SL/‘O’ Level), in addition to three Higher Level (HL-A to C)/‘A’ Level (A to D)/IB2 (A-C) grades in Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics.

A. WASSCE/SSSCE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL PROGRAMMES
Credit passes (A1-C6 / A-D) in English, Core Mathematics, Integrated Science and Social Studies (input all the four core subjects when applying) in addition to three elective subjects applicable to the programme of choice.
(Applicants should note that they are expected to have at least C6/D in Social Studies, even though it is NOT included in the calculation of aggregates.)
B. A-Level Applicants
Candidates must have five (5) subjects, including English and Mathematics at the G.C.E Ordinary Level, in addition to Chemistry, Physics and Biology at the G.C.E. Advance Level.
C. Other Educational Credentials
i) IGCSE/IB – Applicants must possess at least Grades A*/A-C in English, Mathematics and Biology at the Standard (SL/‘O’ Level), in addition to three Higher Level (HL-A to C)/‘A’ Level (A to D)/IB2 (A-C) grades in Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics.
