Mrs. Victoria Quartson is an Assistant Registrar at the University Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ho. She is currently the School Officer in the School of Medicine. She has responsibility for the coordination of all administrative activities of the School including student admissions, students’ welfare, registration of courses, examinations as well as a point of reference for enquiries by faculty members and other stakeholders of the School.
Education
She holds a Bachelor of Education (Management and Economics) and a Master of Philosophy(MPhil) in Administration in Higher Education both from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. She is a member of the Institutes of Directors, Ghana.
Work experience
Prior to joining UHAS, Mrs Quartson was an Assistant Director 1 with the Ghana Education Service with over 16 years’ experience as a management teacher. She was also the Senior Housemistress and the Clinic Supervisor at Winneba Secondary School, served on the Chaplaincy and Disciplinary Committees of the same school. Mrs Quartson also taught as a part time lecturer at the Institute for Educational Development and Extension (IEDE) of the University of Education, Winneba.
Victoria Quartson won the Best Teacher Award (Secondary Category) at the District, Regional and National levels in 2008. She was one of the five delegates from Ghana in Seminar 2016 for principals of Basic and Secondary Schools from developing countries, hosted by the Northeast Normal University in Changchun, China.
Science /Research Interests
Her research interest is in area of public relations and human resource practices in higher education. She is also keen on providing the necessary support for students and staff to develop their full potential towards achieving student success and organisational goals.
