SRC launches UHASMobile information portal
The UHAS Students’ Representative Council launched a mobile application on February 7. UHASMobile is an Android native app designed and maintained by the UHAS SRC ICT Committee to enhance information delivery, mostly for the convenience of students. The app can however, be used by anyone seeking updated information on UHAS.
UHASMobile will allow users to access information such as Useful Contacts and Useful Links (including Students Portal, School Fees and Academic Calendar). Users will also be able to link to Ghana Health Service, NHIS and WHO.
Mr. Abraham Norman Nortey, Federal SRC President, said, “The SRC came up with the idea of the mobile app for UHAS students to easily access most of our university services and information through a single click on a mobile device.”
He acknowledged the immense contributions of the ICT Directorate, Public Affairs Directorate, and various individuals that have culminated in the successful development and launch of UHASMobile, saying, “What started as an idea has now become reality through the support of friends and some staff who lauded the initiative and provided technical inputs.”
Mr. Emmanuel Prempeh, School Officer at the School of Nursing and Midwifery (SoNAM) described the initiative as an innovative move that will make available information to students, and urged all students to download the app .
