Mr. Lebene Israel Klu is currently an Internal Auditor and the Head of Compliance and Information Technology Audit Unit in the Directorate of Internal Audit of the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ghana. He is a Chartered Accountant.
Mr. Klu is responsible for the assessment of the University’s adherence to laws, regulations, policies and procedures and advice for compliance. He is also responsible for auditing the information technology components of the University’s systems and processes and recommend.
Education
Mr. Klu currently holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from University of Cape Coast. He had a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy at the Ho Technical University, formerly known as Ho Polytechnic. He pursued a professional programme in Accountancy at the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, (ICAG) where he graduated as a Chartered Accountant and was duly admitted into membership.
Work Experience
Mr. Klu has a total of 9 years’ experience in internal auditing. He was an Auditing Assistant in the Internal Audit Directorate of the University for three (3) years and later upgraded to the rank of Chief Auditing Assistant for another three years until he was again upgraded to his current position in 2019. Prior to his substantive appointment, he was a National Service Personnel attached to the Directorate in 2012 when the University was established and started operation.
Lebene is a member of the Peki Government Hospital’s Audit Committee on the nomination of the ICAG.
His research interest is in the area of auditing, finance and taxation.
