2023/2024 Academic Year Admissions - Access Course
It is announced for the information of prospective applicants and the general public that the sale of E-vouchers for application forms for the 2024 Access Course in the University of Health and Allied Sciences is opened at a cost of GH¢220.00. Teaching and learning mode of the course will be a blend of online and face-to-face mop-up. Applicants MUST pass the examination at the end of the course to be considered for admission into the Sandwich programmes as follows:
FRED N. BINKA SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH
Successful candidates will be admitted into Level 200 of the degree programmes (Sandwich) in the Fred N. Binka School of Public Health, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Hohoe Campus to read the following options:
- BPH Disease Control
- BPH Environmental Health
- BPH Health Information
- BPH Health Promotion
- BPH Nutrition
- BPH Mental Health
Entry Requirements:
Category A:
Certificate holders such as Environmental Health Assistants/Officers, Mental Health officers, Nutrition Officers, Field Technicians, Health Records Officers, Community Health Nurses/Midwives (Health Assistants Preventive), Health Assistants Clinical.
Category B:
Public Health personnel and graduates from Colleges of Education who hold diploma with CGPA below 2.0 and holders of certificates in closely related fields such as Statistics, Sociology and Demography are also eligible to apply.

!--SCIENCES (ACCESSS COURSE / SANDWICH) – HO CAMPUS
Access Course in the School of Allied Health Sciences is an eight (8) week programme to enable interested applicants with Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (for Medical Laboratory Sciences); HND in Hospitality Management (for Dietetics) and Certificate in Orthotics or Physiotherapy Assistantship (for Physiotherapy) from accredited institutions to enroll into degree programmes (Sandwich). Applicants with FGPA of not less than 2.5 with a minimum of three (3) years certified working experience, will enter degree programmes through an eight (8) week Access Course in the School of Allied Health Sciences.
Successful Candidates from the Access Course, would be required to pass a selection interview and enroll at Level 200 of the Sandwich Programme in the following year (to take place from May - September, 16 weeks each year) .
Programmes to be enrolled in, on successful completion of the access course, and selection interview are:
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences
- Bachelor of Dietetics
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy
The Access Course in the SCHOOL OF ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES will run for 8 weeks from March 21, 2020 to May 16, 2020 at Worawora.

Entry Requirements:
Prospective applicants with Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science awarded by a GTEC Accredited institutions with at least two (2) years of certified professional practice in medical laboratory science.
OR
HND/Diploma (Medical Laboratory Science/Science Laboratory Technology) awarded by a GTEC/NABTEX/CTVET Accredited institutions with a CGPA of below 2.0 with a minimum of two (2) years working experience in the laboratory setting.
